On a performance craft, diagnostic work matters just as much. Fault codes, boost behaviour, fuel delivery, sensor readings and ECU calibration all need to make sense together. A ski can start, idle and still have an issue that shows up only under load. Catching it early is far cheaper than turning a small cooling, fuelling or supercharger problem into an engine build.

Fibreglass repairs that hold up on the water
A quality fibreglass repair is about structure first and surface finish second. Simply filling a crack may make it look better for a short time, but it will not restore strength if the laminate underneath has failed.
The repair process should remove compromised material, rebuild the laminate correctly, shape the area accurately and finish it to suit the hull. Colour matching and final presentation count, especially on late-model craft, but they come after a sound structural repair.

Combining the inspection process avoids missed issues and duplicated labour. The ski can be assessed before work begins, documented for the insurer, repaired structurally, then serviced and tested before handover. It is a cleaner path than repairing the obvious damage first and discovering a mechanical issue after the claim has closed.
This approach is especially worthwhile after a collision, trailer incident, submerged ski or heavy strike on shallow water. Even when the damage looks minor, check the hull, jet pump, steering, cooling system and engine bay before putting the craft back into service.
